Brief Update

Hello, everyone- I haven't fallen off the edge of the world, I promise. I had decided to take a few days off to try to pace out the story more. The plan was to update it tonight, but then I got the Sims Medieval and I want to check it out ;) Therefore, the story will definitely be updated at some point this week- if not tonight, tomorrow or the next day!

Don't worry, Amelia! You've been crazy-active since you started blogging, I don't think anyone expects you to keep that up completely. I mean, if you look at my "record", I'd sometimes post 6 posts one week and then go three weeks with nada. Just go with the flow that works for you. :D

Have to say, I'm a little bit jealous of you having Medieval! You'll have to let me know how good it is, I'm still not sure whether I want to get it or not, yet.

In any case, relax, have fun! I look forward to your next update, but I promise not to pull out the hot poker unless you take a month longer than you said you would. /tease!

Okay, after playing for a bit, here's a quick review!

I really like the graphics, especially with the Sims themselves. The details are cool. There's not as much in the way of options, at least not compared to Sims 3, but the customizeable create-a-style tool is there, so it's not bad!

DO NOT update your game, if you do buy this. The update will cause your game to crash and you can't access the options menu. I wound up having to uninstall and reinstall after finding that out and googling.

The controls are a bit different from Sims 3 and Sims 2, but don't take that long to get used to. Gameplay is a bit awkward to get used to as well as it's not QUITE the same as Sims 3, but also easy to get used to. The tutorial is cumbersome and a bit annoying but useful.

Once you get into the swing of things, though, it's really fun! I'm on my first quest still, but Lady Sara of Izzangia's having a blast getting her hands dirty and mining stone to build up her kingdom.

Overall, it's a lot like the World Adventures aspect of Sims 3. I suggest getting it!

:) I agree completely with Kaleeko. Don't worry about occasionally not updating. That happens to everyone sometimes.

Sometimes real life means you don't update; too tired, too busy, on holidays or no computer. It's all understandable; I had no electricity then went through a super cranky/depressed phase.

I didn't pre-order Sims Medieval but I may pop by a game shop soonish and see if they have it. I haven't done that sort of game in ages. It sounds pretty cool
